Our Story
It Started With a Publishing House
718 Media grew out of 718 Publishing — an independent publishing house with deep roots in storytelling, community, and the written word. We saw firsthand how powerful a strong digital presence could be for independent creators and small businesses, and we decided to do something about it.
We launched 718 Media to bring that same energy to the broader small business community. The name comes from the original Brooklyn area code — a nod to our origins and a reminder that the best work comes from people who are genuinely invested in their community.
Today we work with small businesses across industries, helping them build websites that convert, newsletters that connect, and video content that stands out — all without the bloat of a traditional agency.
